Real food, raised the right way.
In conjunction with the “Rotational Poultry Initiative” that the Food Resilience group staff developed for Camp Jijak, came the MEAT BIRDS. Our team built 8’x8’x2.5’ Multi-species tractors as the flagship ideal to start the Gun Lake Tribe off on the right foot with producing high quality, respectfully raised chickens on pasture! These tractors produce hundreds of pounds of ultra local chicken to be used in Tribal camps, feasts and workshops every year. We also provided hands on training for Food Sovereignty staff and drafted Standard Operating Procedures to provide a step by step plan for staff to follow from chicks to the freezer.

A multi-species tractor provides ultra simple infrastructure to raise Chickens, Turkeys, or Ducks.
These sturdy mobile pens provide 360 degree protection from aerial and terrestrial predators and they offer the ability to control pasture tillage and manuring precisely down to the square foot.
