Nothing beats having an experienced set of eyes gaze upon your lands. Let us help you jumpstart your food resilience journey today by letting our experienced team do a walk through of your future projects.   

What this includes:

-2 hour property walkthrough and sit down discussion.

-Realistic expectation setting from people who have taken the same journey.

-Consulting on Methods of poultry keeping to help you choose breeds, housing, and security.

-Family and animal safety review.

-Analysis of existing food production infrastructure. 

-You will be provided with a basic satellite mapped sector design of the ideas we have talked about. 

-You will be provided with a written report of the projects we have discussed which will include concepts we discussed, legal and zoning concern opinions* and connecting you with resources to help continue your education. 

~Starting at $200 for individuals on less then 1 acre**. Prices will be negotiated individually for properties above 1 acre or $500k property value.

As well as local non profit groups like Food Co-ops, Food charities,  Community gardens, and maker spaces.

Our expert team will help you come up with steps to implement a strategic plan to incorporate ultra local food production into your group. Giving you insight into project timelines, labor and capital requirements . We will act as a launching point for your organization to incorporate vertical sustainability at all levels. 

We will meet with stakeholders to identify needs and objectives and can customize a training and education plan to get your people up to speed on all aspects of resilient food systems. 

Then we will facilitate whatever level of strategic planning your organization needs to accomplish those goals. 

~ Hourly or Contract based pricing will be negotiated or bid for each project specifically.

Founder Sam Barber

Sam has been growing in the space of regenerative agriculture, resilient system design and quality ingredient self reliance personally and professionally since 2014. Starting his journey working on a permaculture research farm in the Rocky Mountains his passion led him back to his home state of Michigan where he has helped many families bring resilience to their households and has educated and inspired many of his students to follow in his foot steps of; Caring for your People, Caring for your Environment and Building circular food ecosystems. 

Founder Elise Barber

Elise Barber is co-owner of Food Resilience Group. Elise has over 7 years of professional experience in facilitation, strategic planning and grant writing. Elise was born and raised on commercial dairy operations which inspired her later interest and advocacy for sustainable agriculture. Elise holds an MFA in writing from Lindenwood University and a BA in English and writing with a minor in environmental studies from Grand Valley State University.
